Adolescents

Back

I remember when I was just a little kid
All you had to do was go to school, and live
It seemed like every day I always thought about
Getting a job and a car so that I can move out

We really never understood what it meant to survive
We really never understood the deeper aspects of life

Looking back now, I know I had it so easy
Otter pops, skateboarding and being lazy

I really never understood what it meant to survive
I really never understood the deeper aspects of life

When you are just a kid, and you are growing up
You never understand what is going on
You don’t understand why you have to be straight
Now all that matters is getting laid and paid

I can’t say that I speak for all of you
When I say,” You know we always tell the truth.”
I can’t really say you don’t understand
I can’t say you took childhood for granted

Just try to think about how you grew up
Try to think about all the good times you had
And when you think about your life before
Then you will understand your self some more

Are you going to teach the way you were taught
Are you going to bring the way you were brought
Are you going to change life and make it better
Or are you going to follow it to the letter
