Every individual is an end in themselves and should be respected as such. In crowded areas, that means commonsense respect. Move out to the woods if you can't handle it.

The notion that "liberty" is a thing people can just point to as an object detached from reality is problematic. Too many freedoms and your neighbor governs you. Too much regulation and you become a drone. "Liberty" is a balance.

Saw something about this discussed in the framing of the free will debate. Roughly, insistence on historical is punitive and focus on the future is progressive. BALANCE is what is needed.
